IPHM Accredited Training Provider
Professional standards and independent recognition for my training
I am an Accredited Training Provider with the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPHM).
This recognises my work as a professional educator and enables eligible training programmes to be submitted to IPHM for independent review and accreditation.
Accreditation is awarded to individual courses after they have completed the review process; it does not automatically apply to every course, workshop or retreat I offer.
The Shamanic Mentorship Program is currently the first of my training programmes to receive IPHM accreditation. As further courses complete the review process, they will be added to this page.
Who is IPHM?
IPHM stands for the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine. It is an independent professional accreditation body supporting holistic and complementary practitioners, therapists and training providers internationally.
Established in 2005, IPHM now works with practitioners and educators across more than 60 countries and over 200 different modalities. Its role is to review practitioners and training providers, promote professional standards and help members establish greater trust and credibility within the holistic field.
What does this mean for you?
Students who successfully complete an accredited Program and its assessment requirements receive a certificate issued by Cinzia Sarigu carrying the approved IPHM training-provider mark.

The possibility of seeking appropriate professional insurance, depending on the insurer, your location and the nature of your practice

IPHM states that graduates of its approved training providers can apply through its practitioner-membership process. Membership is separate from completing the course and requires the graduate to make their own application and pay the relevant membership fee.
How can this support your professional practice?
For those who intend to offer shamanic practice professionally, accreditation can help demonstrate that their training involved more than informal attendance or self-directed study.
It provides clients, insurers and professional organisations with a clearer indication of the training completed. IPHM practitioner membership may also offer access to a professional directory, its Trustmark, business support and insurance-related benefits.
Accreditation does not replace personal integrity, experience or ongoing development. Graduates remain responsible for working within their competence, following applicable laws and professional standards, and arranging any insurance required for their own practice.

The depth of my training programs comes from more than 25 years of practice, teaching, direct experience and study with wisdom keepers in different traditions.
IPHM accreditation provides an additional professional framework around them, giving students the reassurance of both experienced teaching and independent external recognition.
