The Pleiades are a small cluster of stars, which enchants the keen eye.

Across cultures and continents, people have spun stories about them. In Greek mythology, the stars became seven sisters: Alcyone, Maia, Electra, Merope, Taygeta, Celaeno and Sterope. Together, they form a constellation of human experience. Their stories speak of kinship and instinct, responsibility and freedom, of hiding and being seen, and of our longing to find our place within something greater than ourselves.

This course is an invitation to meet them one by one.

Over seven fortnightly evenings, we will explore their mythology through a shamanic lens, allowing each sister to become a doorway into a different aspect of our own lives.

We will meet them through story and through direct experience, listening for what they awaken in us and what they may reveal about the stories we are living now.

Sessions will combine mythology, basic astronomy, storytelling and guided inner work, exploring each archetype for personal reflection, healing and empowerment. Our practices will include visualisation, shamanic journeying, reflective writing, ritual and healing work, with simple stargazing practices in between our meetings.

As the course unfolds, you may begin to see your path in a new light. You may also develop a more intimate connection with the night sky, experiencing the Pleiades as a living presence that humanity has been in conversation with for thousands of years.

By the end of our journey, you will have encountered all Seven Sisters and rekindled a sense of wonder, while gaining a richer symbolic language for understanding your own life, a collection of practices you can return to and a lasting connection with the archetypes that speak most deeply to you.

You may also find that the Pleiades no longer look like a small cluster of anonymous stars. Once you know their names and have travelled with their stories, you may never see them in quite the same way again.

 

The course is open to everyone. No previous shamanic experience is needed.

All sessions are recorded, and the recordings are yours to download and keep for life.
