For 20 days we follow the path of the Sacred Deer, learning about the energy of each day and focusing on the healing of the heart. Then we enter the Days out of Time and follow the practices to incubate and rebirth ourselves into the new cycle.

The Mayan Calendars offer spiritual tools for personal and collective awakening. The Solar Calendar is carried every year by a different Spirit Guardian. When the solar cycle is complete, the Wayeb' begins, the Days out of Time, to reset and prepare for a new journey with new purpose, hopes and possibilities. During this time the Guardian of the year steps back and after 5 days of spiritual preparation the new Guardian steps in and sets the tone for the year ahead. This is a very powerful cosmological event in the mayan tradition, which marks the start of the preparation of the land for the sowing of the seeds and the incubation of the soul for the evolutionary leap with the New Sun.

The Days out of Time are a special time of tying up loose ends from the previous cycle and bringing forward the threads of ones personal journey into the new dawn. It's a time of reflection, prayer, learning and working closely with the Mayan spirits. 

Cinzia is a shamanic healer and teacher who trained extensively with the Mayan wisdom keepers, co-founded Ixchel Healing Arts and teaches shamanism internationally in English, Spanish and Italian.
