Tucked in the subtropical jungle of Chiapas, Palenque is one of the most extraordinary cities of the ancient Mayan world; located inside a lush national park, Palenque is a feast for the senses and for the spiritual seeker, a mystical place where the stones speak to you, where you walk in between realities, where dreams and the awaken state seem one and the same. Aligned with the planet Venus, Palenque is considered one of the most important energy points on earth, as it stores the frequency of the liberated heart. Palenque is also the home of the Solar Disc, the Mayan Sun God, which guards the secrets of the solar calendar. Every year, the calendar completes a cycle, and opens the Days out of Time, a very sacred time of reflection, healing and deep connection to our Star Family. At this time real change takes place for the individual and for the collective, by channelling the healing powers of the Solar Disc. Children of the Sun is an experiential journey where you merge science and spirituality, learn about sacred geometry and Mexican shamanism, and take home the wisdom of the Mayan calendars. This is a full immersion experience where you will be guided across several multidimensional doorways, to connect to the energies of the pyramids, of the jungle and of the ancestors from the stars.

The journey fundraises for the Children of the Sun project which brings alternative educational programs to the mayan children of the surrounding villages. The project, launched in August 2021, helps local children reclaim their cultural identity through pre hispanic art, science and spirituality, to inspire them to build strong foundations for their educational and professional future. During the week you will spend a day with the children and participate in their creative projects. At Children of the Sun you will explore shamanic practices, sacred archeology and mayan ceremonies for everyday wellbeing; you will connect to your star lineage and channel the Sun energies to replenish vitality, joy and wonder. On this exclusive shamanic adventure, you will discover first hand the mysteries of the Solar Disc in the place where it was born. Palenque can help you find answers to the personal and collective questions of our time. 

The experience is open to experienced seekers as well as beginners, and we have limited numbers to preserve the intimacy of the inner and community work. THE TEAM 

Cinzia Sarigu, founder of Ixchel Healing Arts, is a medicine woman, permaculture designer and shamanic teacher. A natural born dreamer, from an early age she’s been speaking to the ones in spirit, and helps others connect to extra sensorial dimensions. For the past 20 years Cinzia has been channelling the Ancestors from the Palenque Dynasty, with whom she shares a beautiful and intimate relationship. Her teachings are rich in Mayan cosmology and they provide tools for a deep connection to the Earth and the Sky. Cinzia has been on a journey of extensive spiritual initiations and historic research into the mysteries of the scientific, esoteric and cultural heritage of the Mayan world in Mexico and Guatemala, and she continues to channel the wisdom, frequencies and messages from Palenque, to bring hope of a better world. 

Byron Blanco is a young Guatemalan artist, initiated into the mysteries of the Mayan cosmovision. Byron is a musician, poet, painter and shaman, who founded an independent art project for the young people of his city, and collaborates on permaculture and seed projects projects with other indigenous young people in Central and South America. Byron is the custodian and researcher of the sacred mayan calendars, and has published, with Cinzia Sarigu, The Wheel of Time Cholq'ij 2021, on Amazon Kindle, to fundraise for his present permaculture project. 

Fidencio Cruz Sànchez, originally from Palenque, works as a professional tour guide in the archaeological site. Fidencio is the political representative of his village and over the years initiated projects to provide educational opportunities for the children in the area. Since 2012 Fidencio has been working on the Children of the Sun project with Cinzia Sarigu, and finally launched it in August 2021. Fidencio knows the jungle and the pyramids like his pockets , and offers truly unique tours to the jungle and hidden temples. 

LOGISTICS 

 We stay altogether in a beautiful jungle retreat, in private or shared accommodation.The site has a restaurant and a swimming pool, and it’s surrounded by lush forest, you can hear the howler monkeys on the trees and be enchanted by the tropical birds. To get there you can fly into Villahermosa from any Mexican airport and take a shuttle ( 1.30 hrs) to Palenque. You will be provided with all the necessary information to plan your trip and make the most of your experience. February is the best month of the year for visiting the jungle, the rainy season has stopped, temperatures are milder and it’s not too buggy. Private transportation will be provided during the week . Upon registration you will receive a list of what to bring and how to prepare for your jungle adventure. As for Covid restrictions, you can travel to Mexico by filling an online passenger locator form. Quarantine is not required as it’s not a negative Covid test, however this is recommended for yours and others safety
